Chemical Looping Combustion is applied directly to the combustion of coal through this new patent by Orchard Material Technology. In this newly developed process technology, advances in Carbon Capture & Sequestration (CCS) result from this high efficiency approach to coal combustion technologies.
October 7, 2009:
The patent application for Looping Sulfide Oxidation of sulfide metal ores enters the national phase in the PRC. This process by Orchard Material Technology allows for major improvements in energy generation from sulfide ore processing (roasting) and greatly improves the environmental compliance of these processes.

Xian, PRC, Construction is underway on the largest Molybdenite Multiple Hearth Roasting facility ever constructed in China. This facility will include two large roasters, the dry gas cleaning plant, and sulfuric acid facilities for SO² abatement.

Boston, MA, USA, Orchard Material Technology develops new high energy process technologies for the combustion of fossil fuels and for the efficient capture of carbon dioxide. This new High Energy Chemical Looping Combustion process will achieve very high levels of energy generation while producing high strength CO2 off-gas compositions which will aid carbon capture and sequester possibilities.
