OMT engineering teams complete the start-up of the second Molybdenite Roaster near Xian, China. This start-up begins the production operations phase of this project, which is now the largest and latest technology Molybdenite Roasting facility in China.

OMT is awarded top honors being selected to receive a special recognition for superior service as a foreign firm providing technical expertise in metallurgy and environmental control to Liaoning, Province, China. The award was presented to Lawrence F. McHugh the CEO of Orchard Material Technology in a two day event held by the Provincial Governor of Liaoning in the historical capital of Sheng Yang, China.

OMT is retained to evaluate alternative materials and processes for next generation Tantalum capacitors. As Tantalum metals prices rise the need is great to allow this industry to compete with alternative materials and process technologies.

OMT completes construction review of large Molybdenite Roasting Facility in Xian, China. OMT engineering teams complete operator training and start-up of the first of two Molybdenite Roasters. This project will modernize technology and provide our client with full environmental compliance for this expansive new facility.

Boston, MA, OMT is invited to present a lecture regarding its latest patent work regarding energy technologies to the MIT Energy Initiative. These developments recognized by the US Department of Energy (DOE) and the US National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL) represent a cost effective metallurgical approach to Carbon Capture & Storage.
